It has taken us years to get here, and we continue to invest our time and money, in spite of the fact that we after a decade of doing this we are still not profitable. But we are not overly worried because we did not start on this road in order to get rich.... however, we do need the money to keep creating new content and serve our audiences better.

This kids' website is advertising supported. We realize that we can keep all the children's content free because of our sponsors, however, we are also passionate about keeping editorial free of advertising influence. We have, may times in the past, refused to accept advertising when it came tied in with advertising influence. We have also many times refused lucrative advertising contracts because the advertiser did not meet 'our standard' of what is 'appropriate' for children. Often marketing/sales people think that our policies are too idiosyncratic. And perhaps they are right. Yes, we loose potential revenue, but it is a choice we have made and we intend to stick by it.
